Area: 200 m2 (2 152.8 ft2)
Cubic capacity: 15 000 m3 (529 720 ft3)
Created with the organisation of concerts in mind, but equally suitable for conferences, galas, shows, artistic events, large-scale training sessions, social and business events (the room can accommodate up to 200 people), as well as recording concerts (up to 60 people with instruments) and making studio CD records.
The one and only in Kraków for professional sessions of large music forms, such as orchestral and choir recordings or multi-track concert sessions. Parts of soundtrack to Jan Jakub Kolski’s film Jasminum have been recorded here and so was the complete soundtrack to his other film Pornografia.
The people of Kraków also think of this studio as a place of meetings with the finest artists and famous writers. Radio Kraków has been fulfilling its mission statement to the audience by organising concerts, meetings with authors and debates here. For years, this studio has been hosting concerts of the Summer Jazz Festival in Piwnica Pod Baranami, Jazz Juniors Festival, Starzy i Młodzi czyli Jazz w Krakowie Festival or the French Song Festival. It is also a friendly place for Anna Dymna’s “Mimo Wszystko” Foundation – since 2009, as a part of the series “Zaczarowane Radio Kraków” (Magical Radio Kraków), the studio has hosted concerts of the foundation’s pupils, the winners of the Zaczarowana Piosenka Festival.
We have hosted: Capella Cracoviensis, Bogdan Hołownia, Polish Radio Choir, Sonoris Choir, Gaba Kulka, Zygmunt Konieczny, Kroke and E. Gepert, Nigel Kennedy, John Levin – fortepian, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Włodek Pawlik, Skaldowie, Stanisław Sojka with Honoris Choir
